Check in at the Fort Lauderdale was smooth and fairly quick. The disembarkation took approximately 1 hour from the time I've left my stateroom until I've reached my RCCL bus transfer for the airport.
Disembarkation was well organized, disembarkation ticket numbers were visibly displayed and announced through microphones. It was easy to locate your luggage, luggage booths were visibly numbered and easy to find even though there was at least 12000 pieces of luggage.
Harmony is an enormous ship holding 5479 passengers and until Symphony Of The Seas, she was the biggest ship in the world. Despite her size, it is easy to get around and everything is well organized. There are times when the elevators get busy ( before shows and celebrations at the Royal Promenade) but otherwise is fine.
The Royal Promenade located on the 5th Deck is the center of the ship with Guest Services, Shore Excursion, Loyalty Desk, Next cruise desk, Wroom Internet booth, Shops, Schooner Bar, Bionic Bar, Sorrento's etc. Walking toward the back on the deck 5 you will enter one of the Neighborhoods-
The open-air Boardwalk and the first thing you will see is the Carousel, few shops and the restaurants Dog House, Johnny Rockets and at the end of the boat there is amazing Aqua Theater where movies and shows are watched and where depending on weather & wind conditions you can enjoy amazing Aua Artistic and acrobatic show -The fine line. On each side of the Aqua Theater is the famous climbing wall.
The next important deck is deck #8 where the neighborhood – open space Central Park is located with a lot of shops & restaurants. An amazing open-air area with a lot of greenery and you can feel that you are somewhere in the town and not on the ship. Just a beautiful place.
On the deck #3 at the front of the ship is located the Royal Theater and on the same deck at the back of the ship is the Main dining room.
Deck#15 is activity deck where all the pools, water slides perfect storm, sports deck, zip-line, two flow riders and Ultimate Abyss are located. Ultimate Abyss is a 10- storey thrill ride and is the tallest slide at sea, with a 100ft drop between decks 16 and 6.
On the deck#16 at the back of the ship is Windjammer Cafe- the buffet restaurants and on the same deck at the front of the ship is The Solarium adult only heaven with whirlpools, buffet restaurant and bar where I've spent most of my time.
It is important to know that the passenger should reserve their shows, dining time, activities and shore excursion online ahead of time.
Harmony visited Nassau-Bahamas, St. Thomas, San Juan and private Island -Labadee in Haiti.
Labadee is Harmony's extension on land with restaurants, bars, activities, kids water parks and beautiful beaches. The recently built private dock made access to the island smooth and quick.
My overall experience was good and I will definitely suggest Harmony to multi-generational families, young people and families with kids.
