Bon Voyage Travel & Cruise Centre is proud to support the Canadian Red Cross:

The Canadian Red Cross mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity in Canada and around the world. In the Lower Mainland, the Canadian Red Cross offers a number of services and programs, including the following:
Disaster Management
When small and large disasters strike in the Lower Mainland, Red Cross volunteers and staff are there immediately, working to help meet the needs of the most vulnerable. Disaster Response services include immediate response and long-term recovery, reconnecting families, and services for detained migrants and newly arrived refugee claimants.
RespectEd: Violence & Abuse Prevention
Building on decades of experience in community based safety programs, the Canadian Red Cross has been helping to break the cycle of abuse, harassment and interpersonal violence for over 25 years. RespectED: Violence & Abuse Prevention programs promote safe and supportive relationships and healthy communities through education and partnerships. In September 2012, the Lower Mainland RespectEd team will launch the Imagine… No Bullying campaign which aims to raise $200,000 by 2013 to train 250 teachers, and to reach 22,500 students across B.C.
Health Equipment and Loan Programs
The Red Cross Lower Mainland Region offers a number of medical equipment loan programs for residents of the region: short-term loans by donation to individuals recovering from illness, long-term loans to seniors with limited incomes, and loans to children who are clients of the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Other Health, Social & Community Programs
The Red Cross Lower Mainland Region offers a variety of services and programs to local communities including; the Humanitarian Issues Promotion which educates youth on global issues; the Family Support Program which helps families cope when their children are seriously ill or injured; the Smart Start program which offers multi-lingual education in emergency preparedness and injury prevention to non-English speaking communities; and First Aid and Water Safety programming.
